It is known that the implementation of problem-specific historiographic research has its own specifics. This is what the author of this article briefly covers. The local aspect of the problem is selected - the use of the principle of historicism in problem-thematic historiographic studies. It has been proved that, despite the fact that the principle of historicism is one of the fundamental principles in the methodology of the historical, the reliance on it in problem-related historiographic studies has a number of specific features. They follow from the specifics of their object and subject.
