This article discusses the definition of the applied direction of mathematical knowledge, training of disciplines of natural sciences not only at mathematics lessons which has become actual in a modern education system, but also conditions of its application at training of specialists are revealed.
In addition, the article defines the main directions of science to improve the quality of training of specialists in higher educational establishments, analysis of the content of training, the need for a thorough study of the system of criteria and principles of selection of educational material.
