The article deals with amplifications and their functions in translation of autobiographies by the example of Ozzy Osbourne’s autobiography “I Am Ozzy”. In this article translation peculiarities with the help of amplifications are considered. We also perform a comparative-contrastive analysis of Ozzy Osbourne’s autobiography “I Am Ozzy” and its translation in which the correspondence with the original text is analysed.
