PRINCIPLES OF SUBSTANTIATION OF GEOMETRIC ELEMENTS OF THE ROADBED DURING THE RECONSTRUCTION OF MOUNTAIN ROADS
Keywords:
roadway, curb, speed, traffic safety, reconstruction of the highway, road conditions.Abstract
This article discusses the principles of substantiating the width of the roadway and roadsides during the reconstruction of mountain roads, which include the most complete consideration of all factors affecting the choice of the optimal design solution.
Analysis and consideration of the whole variety of factors influencing the choice of parameters of crosssection elements during the reconstruction of mountain roads makes it possible to determine the optimal values of the width of the carriageway and roadsides in specific road conditions with the help of a feasibility study.
