The article discusses the main stages of development of production automation at enterprises, which is one of the most important achievements of modern science and technology in the field of industry. Automation of production provides a significant intensification of production, growth and improvement of production indicators, a noticeable increase in production efficiency with minimal expenditure of fuel, energy and labor resources.
